Who We Are

BuildRanked operates a network of PC component comparison and build-advisory sites. This privacy policy covers all pages served under buildranked.com, rankedgpu.com, rankedcpu.com, rankedram.com, and rankedssd.com. For privacy-related requests, use the contact page.

Information We Collect

• Usage data. Our hosting infrastructure automatically processes technical information when you visit — such as IP address, browser type, device type, approximate location (derived from IP), referring page, timestamps, and pages viewed. This data is used to keep the site running and secure.
• Cookies and local storage. We may use cookies or local storage to remember preferences (such as your selected market or budget), maintain session security, and measure aggregate traffic. We do not use cookies to track you across unrelated third-party sites.

• Build Advisor inputs. Budget, use-case, and market selections you enter into the PC Build Advisor are processed server-side solely to return component suggestions. We do not store or associate these inputs with your identity.

How We Use Information

• To deliver and maintain the website and Build Advisor service.
• To diagnose technical problems and maintain security.
• To understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the experience.
• To respond to contact form enquiries.
• To comply with applicable laws and regulations.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for their marketing purposes.

Affiliate & Retailer Links

BuildRanked contains links to Amazon, eBay, Newegg, Scan, and other retailers. These are search links — some may include affiliate tracking parameters that allow us to earn a small commission if you make a purchase, at no extra cost to you.

When you click through to a retailer, that retailer's privacy policy governs the data collected on their site. We encourage you to review their policies, particularly before creating an account or completing a transaction.

Data Sharing

We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers. Hosting, analytics, and infrastructure vendors who process data on our behalf under contractual data-protection obligations.
• Legal requirements. If we are required to disclose information by law, court order, or government authority.
• Business transfer. If BuildRanked is acquired or merged, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information is subject to a materially different privacy policy.

Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Server logs are typically retained for a short period (days to weeks) and then deleted or anonymised. Contact form submissions are retained only until the enquiry is resolved.

Your Rights & Choices

• Cookies. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Some features (such as saved preferences) may not work as expected if cookies are disabled.
• Analytics opt-out. Many analytics providers offer browser extensions or opt-out mechanisms. Refer to your provider's documentation for current options.
• Access & deletion. If you wish to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you (e.g., a contact form submission), please contact us via the contact page. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
• Do Not Track. There is no universally accepted DNT standard. We do not guarantee a specific response to all DNT signals at this time.

Children

BuildRanked is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

International Users

Our servers may be located in countries that have different data protection laws from your own. By using this site, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in those countries. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we rely on legitimate interests as the legal basis for processing usage data, and on your consent where required.

Security
